Summary: Hojo becomes trapped in the Sengoku Jidai: Chivalry isn't dead, but it sure seems to be asking for it...
Why: I think that I'm like a lot of people when I say that I've always been vaguely amused by, but largely uninterested in, Hojo. He's a sweet kid, but really rather boring. Well, until you stick him in the Sengoku Jidai, and trap him there indefinitely. Then the fun begins. Watching Hojo and his modern ideas face off against the Sengoku Jidai is quite a ride. Ill feelings and misunderstandings abound as Hojo meets the past and its inhabitants. Yes, this story had me snickering to myself throughout.
Don't let my description fool you, however. This story does have its more serious elements. They may take you by surprise as the story progresses, but they are there. There are a couple plot points that really run throughout the story, including one which helps make the story interesting right to the very end.
