Summary: A dark room, a mysterious figure, a magic spell... Yuusuke wants to know why this sort of thing never happens to Kuwabara.
Why: This story never fails to make me snicker to myself. XD The concept isn't entirely original, but it's a fun one, and the author did a great job of making it work with Yuusuke's personality. She also has a great sense of comedic timing, and I enjoyed the passing references to other anime. And hey, who doesn't need a little more Mary Sue mockage in their life? ;)

Summary: It took a while for Yuusuke to learn how to speak Genkai's language.
Why: This is a really great look at the relationship between Genkai and Yuusuke. I like the way that the author used the repetition of the same question to show how Yuusuke (and his understanding of Genkai) have grown throughout the series. It also clears up a pesky question that you might have from early in the series: Would Genkai really have taught Rando?

Summary: Kurama wasn't expecting company. Obviously.
Why: This is a simple idea and short story, but nightwalker3 brings her usual sense of comedic timing to it in order to make it a very diverting way to occupy a few minutes.

Summary: For once they were in trouble and it wasn't Yuusuke's fault. Well, not exactly.
Why: nightwalker3 does an amazing job with the relationship between Kuwabara and Yuusuke, writing them with just the right combination of snark and unwilling friendship. You'll be seeing more recs from her in the future, but for now I'm starting with this one because it absolutely cracked me up. I could so see Yuusuke and Kuwabara not only acting like this, but also getting into this kind of situation in the first place. And the ending? Is just too perfect.

Summary: ZOMBIES. Yes, that's correct. Zombies. Because there just weren't enough necromancers involved before now. But no, these aren't the standard, fairlyeasytokill zombies. There are Plot Twists. And Unexpected Visitors. And slashy demons.
Why: Some authors can take a silly idea and write it and make it brilliantly clever. Other authors can take that same silly idea and make it funny. As for which category this story falls into...Well, it's mostly the latter, but I think there's a little of the former. As you've probably guessed from the summary, this story is crack of the highest order. However, you will find only the finest of crack here. Zombies, fights, wisecracks, yaoi, enemies back from the dead, and even the occasional serious moment! I snickered my way through this entire story and the only complaint that springs to mind is that it ended. Of course, I wouldn't suggest reading this when you're in the mood to be entirely serious, but if you're looking for a little crazy, this is exactly where you want to be.
