Summary: Takeru's best friend isn't Hikari or Patamon or his brother. It's denial, and when he's watching Daisuke, he wants his best friend very close indeed.
Why: I really liked the running theme of denial in this story, and the way that the author uses that theme to set up the flow of the entire story. There's also some very nice characterization, with an interesting contrast between introspective Takeru and straightforward Daisuke.

Summary: A young Daisuke meets his role model for the first time, and no, it isn't who you think it is!
Why: This is another of those stories that feels like a piece of lost canon to me. In the Digimon movie, we learned that all the 02 children had some encounters with Digimon before they ever made it to the Digiworld. This is Daisuke's story, and one of the best things about it is the way that SilvorMoon writes him. Too often people tend to make Daisuke as both dumb and immature, ignoring his intricacies. SilvorMoon really does him credit though, making me remember why he's one of my favorite characters from the series.

Summary: Izumi is caught in the worst snowstorm to hit Tokyo in living memory. Her assets: three changes of clothes, two books, a box of candy... and Junpei Shibayama.
Why: SilvorMoon really does a great job of developing the relationship between Junpei and Izumi in a believable way. Nothing is rushed, the characterizaiton is spot on, and the end result is a satisfying romance.

Summary: Izumi gets a prediction about her love life from a fortune teller. Now it's all coming true...or is it?
Why: Just like I've been reccing a lot of fics by Resmiranda lately, it seems I'll also be reccing SilvorMoon's stories. Depending on your tastes, this could be a good thing or a bad thing. You see, although SilvorMoon and Resmiranda share the common trait of being very talented authors, they write very different themes. Where Resmiranda is often dark, SilvorMoon is much more light. In the case of this particular fic, we're talking romance light. Other times it may be friendship light. Either way, it's a good light. ;)

So. A little more about this story. As the summary says, Izumi goes to a fortune teller and gets a prediction, and even though she doesn't really believe in all that mumbo jumbo, it seems like it's coming true! It's a simple premise, and it's one that the author does a really good job of pulling off. Izumi's emotions are really conveyed perfectly, and the story has just the right amount of fluff. To be truthful, I started reading this out of idle curiosity. Thankfully, no cats were harmed, and curiosity was rewarded by a cute story and some quality entertainment.
