Summary: He could feel Kakashi's eyes on his tush. He whipped around quickly, glaring, and was met with a lazy upward turn of mismatched eyes. "Don't get any ideas," he said sternly. "I'm not having sex with you anymore."
Why: This is exactly the kind of borderline crack humor that I absolutely love. I think that I beamed and snickered my way through this whole story. I also really appreciated the characterization of Iruka in this story. I tend to be a little picky about him, but the author perfectly captures the capable prankster who I like so much. Not to mention that the interactions between Kakashi and Iruka sparkle with wit. Despite the relative length of this story, it really passed in the blink of an eye for me, leaving me with a smile on my face and laughter in my heart.

Summary: Someone wants to hurt Kakashi, and where better to aim for than his heart?
Why: One thing I hate about Naruto fandom is the tendency to make Iruka into the helpless character who always has to be saved, so whenever I find a story with a capable Iruka, I always get excited. That's what first really drew me into this story, despite some persistent grammatical errors and the occasional spelling mistake. The next thing to draw me in and keep was reading was the author's Kakashi, who manages to tread the line between believeably flawed and overly angsty. The thing that really kept me reading was the adorably awkward relationship that develops between the two of them. Add in an admirable amount of action and a nicely 3D villain who I ended up feeling sorry for despite everything, and this is a highly enjoyable story. I do wish it had a beta reader to eliminate some of the mistakes that I already mentioned, but as long as you can get past that, this is definitely worth the time it takes to read.

Summary: Odd conversations lead to odd realizations.
Why: This is not an original idea. In fact, it's rather cliche. However, if you're really jonesing for some cute Kakashi/Iruka fic that doesn't require a great deal of effort on your part, this could be just the thing for you. You see, sometimes I just want to read something short and uncomplicated that leaves no room for doubt about how things are going to work out. This is one of those. It doesn't take much time to read, and it could be just the Kakashi/Iruka fix you've been looking for.
